Urban Environmental Scientist

Practical Applications, Inc. seeks an individual to be a part of our field operations team. As one of our Urban Environmental Scientists you will:

- Obtain a Massachusetts Wastewater Treatment Operator License
- Maintain wastewater treatment systems
- Conduct regulatory field sampling
- Help maintain a Department of Environmental Protection certified lab
- Assist with our corporate safety program

Water Mechanic

Practical Applications, Inc. seeks a talented, creative and highly motivated mechanical technician who possesses a keen desire to apply their craftsman’s skills to help us build cutting edge industrial water systems in our South Boston shop.

We are looking for someone who can work as a key member of our multi-disciplinary team to design, build, test and deliver high tech systems to US customers.

- Duties include working from production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches and verbal instructions to perform electronic and mechanical installations.
- Build and assemble routine units such as cable harnesses, electronics and mechanical subassemblies.
- Ability to make electrical point-to-point hookups.
- Make visual inspections and established quality checks.
- Utilization of hand and power shop tools.
